Terms of service

Effective date: 16 July 2026

Stellar News is operated by [Company Name] Pty Ltd (ACN [to be inserted], ABN [to be inserted]), based in Sydney, Australia (“we”, “us”). By subscribing to the newsletter or using the website, you agree to these terms.

What Stellar News is

Stellar News is a free service that curates and summarises publicly available regulatory and sector news for Australian NDIS and aged care providers. It has two parts:

  • A weekly email newsletter, sent to subscribers who have confirmed their subscription
  • A website that serves as an archive of summarised articles and a place to manage your subscription and account

AI-generated summaries

Our headlines and summaries are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and are original works — they are written in our own words, never copied from source articles. Every summary links to the original article at its source.

Summaries are provided in good faith to help you keep across the sector, but:

  • They are not professional advice. Nothing in Stellar News is legal, compliance, financial, or clinical advice. Regulatory obligations in the NDIS and aged care sectors are detailed and change frequently.
  • They are summaries, not substitutes. Before acting on anything you read here — especially compliance or regulatory decisions — read the original source article and, where the stakes warrant it, seek advice from a qualified professional.
  • We don’t warrant accuracy or completeness. AI-generated summaries can contain errors or omit context. We work to keep quality high, but you rely on summaries at your own risk to the extent the law allows.

Using the service

Stellar News is provided for your personal and internal business use. You’re welcome to share individual articles or forward the newsletter to colleagues. You must not:

  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the website
  • Republish, resell, or redistribute our content as your own or as part of a competing service
  • Use the service in any way that breaks the law or interferes with its operation for others

Intellectual property

  • Our summaries, headlines, curation, design, and branding belong to us.
  • The original news articles we link to belong to their respective publishers. We summarise and link; we do not reproduce their content.

Accounts

If you create a website account, you’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts used in breach of these terms.

Subscriptions and unsubscribing

Subscribing is free and requires you to confirm your email address (confirmed opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter, and your request will be honoured promptly. How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

Stellar News is a free service. We aim for a reliable weekly send, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, pause, or discontinue the service or any part of it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published at stellar.news with its effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
